DINO Series #4- Muscatatuck State Park

Sunday was another Dino Series Mountain Bike Race in North Vernon, Indiana. It was Greg's first race back since breaking his collarbone. It was also before the time frame the doctor said was ok to go back to riding, go figure! He went into the race saying he'd be happy to finish. He actually got second in his age group!!! Not too shabby!!! It was also the site of Garrett's first race last year. And whaddaya know, it was Alli's first race this year. I couldn't get too many action shots because I was helping one kid race, while greg helped the other. Her is what I was able to get of the day....

Greg is in the blue jersey all the way to the right, number 257..... He's riding for Grey Goat Sports this year..... Again on your right....
This is the least blurry shot I could get of him.... he was just too fast.... what can I say, sports photography might not be my bag!
Here's Alli geting her awards after the kids race. Every kid got a medal and a t-shirt.
Garrett was pateintly waiting his turn!

And here's our lil champs!!!
Greg was pretty excited to get his award.... He's in the Grey.... the guy in red is Sonny, he was first overall, and also a Grey Goat rider..... They went 1-2 for the sweep!

Guy in green was third...don't know him

Our tradition after every race is a trip to DQ for food and treats. Garrett is into his cone, even though he was bummed that they were out of chocalate ice cream! (Is that even legal?!?!)

Cheesin'..............

Cones are not her bag..... she opts for cup and spoon!! But I can't tell what's sweeter, the ice cream or her big brown eyes and curly ringlets!

Happy Fourth!!!!

Hope everyone had a great fourth!!! We just lazed all day with movies and games!!
And PS.... I lost another 10 pounds.... only 10 more till my goal!!!

Sights around the Beatty Farm!!!

Here's a few shots of dad next to some trees that were planted when I was Alli's age. They were REALLY little trees back then, and now look at them! My dad is 6'4" to give you all an idea of how big these suckers got!!

Here's the kids meandering back to the house after a walk around the grounds.....

You can never have enough lawn tractors!! (I believe they have 4 or 5 total!!!)

FFA- eat your heart out!

Scarily enough, he's almost big enough to operate this thing!

Can't leave Alli out of the action!!

This is for all my friends in Indy.... it does exist!!! Dad's 53 Ford. Needs a lil work and a good wash job, but still pretty darn good looking!

Garrett and Alli liked playing along dad's garage/barn.

Gotta get the corn field pose!
My kids were born to be in the country!!

Swingsets are more fun at Grandpa and Grandma's house!!

My parents acquired a swingset that they set up in their yard, just for our visits!! I'm sure the kids would want to go up there more often just to play outside! We don't have on ein our own yard, so if they want to play I always have to take them to the park. And as you all know that is a major feat to do on your own with two kids!! So here's some shots of them having a blast!

Alli was on deck with Grandpa waiting to catch her. She made it up the ladder all by herslef! She may only be 2, but she can hold her own!! Garrett got his turn too!!
They got a kick outta having face to face swings with someone to push each of them at the same time. It was nice not having to wait your turn for mommy to push!

He couldn't get enough of the slide. Alli was 'trapped' in the baby swing.
Such a strong lil dude!

She's cute, but this didn't last long. The lil monkey wanted out so she could keep up with her brother!

Don't fight it, you know he's got the cutest smile you've ever seen!!

Random Shots From Vacation.........

Sunset on the farm..... The field goes back past the break in the treeline, too! I used to see this out my window everyday!!

Vendor tents at the Shipshewanna flea market.....

We did find some good deals!!!

The kids at bedtime.....

Snug as two bugs..........

My lil ham!

Is he a Grandma's boy or what??

It's hard catching him with his eyes open!

And then it was Alli's turn to blink!
